Savings for taxpayers

The Buffalo News has an article about how fraud, abuse and, yes, simple mistakes, can cost taxpayers millions of dollars. An excerpt:
A city audit earlier this year discovered $2 million had been spent on health insurance for 170 deceased employees. Several of those employees, according to the audit, have been dead for four years.

We long have supported the idea that more needs to done to eliminate waste in government so that those taxpayers dollars can be used for programs and people who truly need them. You can read the rest of this interesting article here.
